Benefits of Cucumbers

As a vegetable, cucumbers have many benefits. Cucumbers have most of the vitamins you need on a daily basis, if you were to eat a cucumber a day, your body will have Vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B6 and Vitamin C. In addition, you will get: Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Potassium, Zinc and Folic Acid.
  1. Whenever you are feeling tired, munch on a cucumber. Cucumbers are known to contain a good source of Vitamins such as B and a lot of Carbohydrates that can provide an energetic quick pick-me-up. It can last for hours.
  2. Is your bathroom mirror fogging up after a shower? Rub a cucumber slice along the mirror will purge the fog and provide a soothing, spa-like fragrance.
  3. Are the planting beds in your garden getting ruined by grubs and slugs? Place a few slices of cucumbers in a small aluminum can and your garden will be free of pests all year long.
